DRAWBAR TOWING EYES AND HITCHES

Weld On Ring Type Towing Eye

The most basic type of towing eye for those that want a simple ring suitable for tractor pick up and other tractor hitch types.

Weld on Swivel Towing Eye

This hitch is duty rated the drawbar down force and gross towing weight of the trailer and fit into a strong sleeve which is securely welded to the drawbar.
The Sleeve is greaseable, while the large castle nut at the rear makes the towing eye an easily replaceable wearing part.

Weld on Drawbar Plate

Weld on drawbar plates are available in single or three position variants, both allow the customer to change hitch types which may be advantage where different tractors requiring different towing eyes are used on the same tipping trailer.
The added advantage of the three position plate is that it allows fine tuning of the drawbar height by simply unbolting the hitch and moving it to a different position. It is vital that torque settings are adhered to when bolting towing eyes in position.

Bolt on Fixed Ring Type

Bolt on hitches offer the advantage of easy replacement and where a three position welded back plate has been specified allows fine adjustment of the ride height of the trailer. The most basic type is a fixed ring as shown here, various sizes and load rating are available depend on the trailer size and towing vehicle hitch type.

Bolt on Swivel Ring

A Single position welded back plate is shown above with a Type BC 25 Bolt On Swivel towing eye incorporating a single grease point on the towing eye sleeve

Bolt on Swivel ring Schamuller Type

One of the choice of Scharmuller hitches available, the product above is fitted to a three position bolt on drawbar end plate duty matched to the cargo trailer

Bolt on Schamuller Ball type hitch

Becoming ever more popular with the increasing weight and speed of tipping trailers the ball hitch creates a positive union between tractor and trailer preventing wear from the backwards and forwards motion that can occur on our towing eye types.
